WWW.WOMENINTHEWIND.ORG Women In The Wind was started in Toledo, Ohio, by Becky Brown in 1979. We now have over 70 chapters in the US and Canada. The Bay Area chapter was started by Diane Baur Manale in 1990. What??? You Are a Man Reading This??? You are important to us. We appreciate your support, ideas, and suggestions. We invite you to join us for special rides and social events. When Do We Meet? Women In The Wind Bay Area chapter holds meetings on the 2nd Monday of the month. Weather permitting, we have a group ride each month as well. Any member may plan a group ride. All suggestions are welcomed. Do We Recruit? No, we invite. There are many lady riders in the area that are members of other riding groups as well. We coordinate our events so we can all be supportive of each other. We value committed membership. How Do I Join? Come to a meeting and we'll explain the details. There are two types of membership: Chapter Membership for $20 per year, or Associate for $10 per year. More Questions?
