Hi, My name is Lorraine. I was one of the first associate  non-riding members of the Bay Area Chapter when it was first originated in 1990.

After several years of being a part of Women in the Wind, and not riding, I finally got the nerve to take my test and get a motorcycle. It took a few years, but I was very active nonetheless. I have been riding since 1996 and still wondering why it took me so long. It's been a great adventure and I love riding, especially with my fellow chapter members.

My first bike was a Rebel 250 and I rode the tires off it until my fiance (Crazy Horse) decided that I needed a bigger bike to keep up with everyone. I graduated to a Honda 750 Shadow, but I still wanted more... I now have a Kawasaki  800 Custom Classic and I love it.

It's been a great experience sharing so much with my fellow sisters in WITW and meeting so many new sisters. Although I haven't had as many exciting adventures as some of you, I feel that everytime I get on my bike is an adventure, and I love the feel of the wind in my face.

IT'S SO ENLIGHTENING!!!
